Lakwa Motel Lio Beach

Amazing location, clean, comfy bed, friendly and informative staff, and the AC was super quiet!

Wanted to open the window a couple times to let in some fresh air. Would have been great to have a screen on the window to keep the bugs out.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and although the location is a bit far from El Nido town proper, it was totally worth it. The peaceful surroundings, fresh air, and relaxing vibe made it the perfect escape. Being surrounded by nature and stunning views of Lio Beach was a highlight. Plus, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, so dining options were never a problem. Overall, a wonderful place to unwind.

I hope they could offer a family room or accommodation suitable for bigger groups, as we definitely plan to return. This is truly a wonderful place to stay with my family.

I like that it's near where I needed to be. Room was clean and modern. The ambiance was great. Their price also included breakfast and a daily motorcycle which was so useful. I chose this as I did not want to risk facing issues elsewhere during my short stay in El NIdo so I'd rather pay more for getting a simple space.

The noise was too much! There's a school above the rooms and the stomping noise will start when the school opens at 8am and it lasted the whole day. The only issue I had was that I have to wake up early due to this. There's also no one answering your messages via sms, whatsapp and in the platform. I tried calling them by phone, didn't work out either. Reception was not so enthusiastic. No smile from them either.

The location was amazing - 10min walk from El Nido airport, 5min walk to Lio Beach, 15 min scooter ride to El Nido town center and 30 min scooter ride to Nacpan beach. Speaking of scooter, having one included as part of the reservation was incredibly helpful. The internet works amazingly, as I had to take some work calls and had zero issues. The hotel being located in the Kalye Artisano complex was also helpful, with restaurants and shops there. Food was great, and the staff was fantastic.

This is not a hotel to "sleep in late". If your plan is to relax all morning in your room, the elementary school in the second floor won't be a good fit. For me that was not a challenge as I left the hotel every morning, but could be a disturbance for people looking to stay in their rooms all morning.

Amazing location, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly + access to the scooter was so handy for travelling around El Nido!

Great location near Lio beach and many restaurants. Very nice and helpful staff. Free use of motorbike. Short walk to the airport.

The room was pretty basic for the price, although bathroom very nice, bed super comfortable and aircon worked well and wasn’t too loud.

Lakwa is in a great location, just a short (pleasant) walk to Lio beach and all of the restaurants/facilities in the Lio resort area. The staff are really friendly and helpful and they make great coffee for you in the morning. It's a 5min tuktuk ride to the airport, so perfect if you are catching a flight out of El Nido in the morning.

Very friendly staff, free motorbike included, great coffee. I absolutely loved the location. 15 minute ride to El Nido, but short walk to the beautiful El Lio beach.

Wonderful place in the middle of a beautiful natural site. Much much better location than El Nido center ( crowdy and noisy).Excellent service from the whole smiling staff - and especially to Harold, who was always ready to help.No breakfast but good coffee is offered.Free-of-charge scooter is also available for guests.

Location is perfect 8 minute walk from Lio Airport and the beach. Lio beach is incredible. Stunning beach with top class food trucks near by. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Shout out to Rose.

Great location, very quiet

Everything was closed very early and nothing opened before 9:00. Just to grab a coffee and a donut even.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, room is simple but clean and well kept. It's very close to Lio beach, good restaurants and a nice spa. It comes with a scooter that makes it easy to go around the area. It's far enough from downtown, so you don't have all the noise and craziness at night, but close enough that only takes about 10min in the scooter to get there. I'd stay there again if I'm back to this area.

Not much help from management if you had a problem unless you were part of the motor bike gang or female you fend for yourself and no breakfast available and tv wasn’t working

Beach is at walking distance

I stayed here for seven nights, and from the very first day, my sheets were dirty, and almost every day, I received dirty towels. I reported this to the staff daily, but they told me it’s a common complaint and that there’s little they can do about it. This is disgusting and unhygienic.There is no breakfast, only coffee in the morning.The room has very little natural light, even though there is a beautiful garden that I can’t enjoy.There is a bench right in front of our window where people regularly sit, so keeping the small window open with the curtains drawn is not an option because everyone looks inside and has full conversations right under your window.There is no trash bin for your waste, only a small bin in the bathroom for toilet paper.No hairdryer.No mini fridge.The electricity cuts out multiple times a day.Nowhere does it say that there is a school on the floor above, so from around 8 AM, you can already hear children shouting and running around. This is extremely annoying, especially since I came here for peace and quiet because of its more remote location.It is also not mentioned anywhere that you have to pay a 1,000-peso deposit for a scooter you won’t even use.You also have to sign a form agreeing that if they "think" they have a reason to remove you from your room, they can do so without hesitation.Considering all these negative points, I think the price is far too high !

Great place and great hospitality. Clean room, good position, close to the beach. Everything was perfect.

We stayed here for one night on our way through the area. The location was outstanding. Although the room was not directly on the beach, it was only a short walk of about 5 minutes or you could ride the included motorbike to Ilo beach or other attractions in the area. The beach was outstanding with several small restaurants along. The room was clean, but was simply a dorm room with a nice bathroom. The staff was great. If you don't care about having limited space it is an excellent stay.

- Free scooter provided, as the location is about a 20-minute drive from town - Free water available in the hall - The bathroom interior was very modern and stylish - Hairdryer provided in the bathroom - In terms of location, it was a nice, quiet, and safe place close to Lio Beach. However, keep in mind that if you don’t ride a scooter, transportation will cost around 300–400 pesos one way - The whole building was modern and clean

- Free coffee in the morning for guests, but only black coffee or espresso - There is an elementary school upstairs, so keep in mind that from 8 am, you may hear banging and shuffling - There’s no small light next to the bed, so if you want to read while someone else is sleeping, it’s not possible - Cleaning is available on demand, which is fine, but if you don’t request it, they don’t leave extra toilet paper in the bathroom. You’ll need to ask for it at reception, even though there’s plenty of space in the bathroom cabinet to store it

Lots of shelves and storage places/hangers that was very convenient. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The facility’s was new and clean. The convenience of getting a motor bike with ur stay was perfect. Location was conveniently next to the airport to catch our early am flight, but it was also near Lio beach that is super nice with many nice restaurants to choose from. Surfing and beautiful views
